BMW Group is paying tribute to the BMW 328 on the occasion of its 75th anniversary with a special model, the BMW 328 Hommage. The Hommage concept is based on the BMW 328 which is considered the most successful and best-looking sports car of the 1930s.

German tuner Hamann has released the first pictures of their take on the 2012 BMW F12 6 Series Convertible. The pictures include a BMW 650i Convertible oufitted with three different wheel sets and a new exhaust system. BMW showed us the ActiveE Concept back at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. Now the automaker is using the Geneva Motor Show floor to roll out the latest version of its electrified 1-Series. The BMW ActiveE, following in the footsteps of the Mini E before it, will begin rolling out to select markets in the Fall of 2011.
Mini utilized a fleet of 600 electric Coopers for field tests, but BMW is upping the ante by producing 1,000 vehicles. The ActiveE will make its North American debut at the New York Auto Show in April. BMW univeiled a mini version of its Mini Rocketman concept, which is likely to appeal to fans of the original 1950s runabout famous for its cornering.
Mini Rocketman concept is almost foot shorter than a standard Cooper, it is built on a carbon-fiber spaceframe to save weight over the traditional steel unibodies employed on Mini production vehicles. Much of the spaceframe is visible inside and outside the car, to show off the carbon construction and save weight on trim pieces.
The exterior keeps the family cues and proportions, but displays a new interpretation of the details. Oversize round LED headlamps feature a light-ring surround while the stirrup-style rear lamps are fitted with high-output LEDs for the tail/brake/directionals.
