BMW just officially unveiled its all-new 2012 BMW 6 Series coupe after the released of the convertible model at the 2011 Detroit Motor Show in January. The hard-top 2012 BMW 6 Series coupe will make its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show this April in China.

it’s exactly what BMW has done with its next-generation 6 Series, and the spies has been snaped. The droptop made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month.
We’re surprised by the design of the new BMW 6 Series Coupe, it is designed as a fixed-roof version of the attractive new cabriolet which was debuted at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. BMW is still masking the new design which has a more sloped rear end than the previous model that gives the large coupe more of a sports car look.
We Expected under the hood will be BMW’s turbocharged 3.0 liter inline-six dialed to the 320 bhp (239 kW / 324 PS) mark and a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 407 bhp (304 kW / 413 PS). a twin-turbocharged V8 packing 400 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque will be in store for the 650i

BMW releases close to 200 new images of the new 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible.The photoshoot took place in Cape Town, South Africa where BMW is hosting a small driving event of the flagship cabriolet.
The new 6er convertible makes its US debut this Spring.By the end of this year, the US market will get both the 640i and 650i models.
The new BMW 6-Series Convertible is available with two engine variants from launch.The eight-cylinder powerplant in the BMW 650i Convertible produces 300 kW/407 hp, while an exclusive variant of the six-cylinder in-line engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo, direct injection and VALVETRONIC -generating 235 kW/320 hp – has been developed for the BMW 640i Convertible.Both engines team up as standard with an eight-speed Sports automatic gearbox.

On Wednesday, BMW unveiled online a production version of its 6 Series convertible. A coupe is certain to follow, as evidenced by the coupe concept shown at the Paris Motor Show in September. The concept was on hand at this week’s 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show. Inside and out, it looks very close to the production convertible. BMW gave journalists a rundown of the car, which goes on sale in convertible form in spring 2011. It’s all but certain a coupe will follow shortly after.
