The Peugeot SXC Crossover Concept is a blend of modern automotive Chinese styling and traditional Peugeot design. It was also created keeping typical sedan styling in mind while accommodating for a high-driving SUV undercarriage. Peugeot SXC Crossover Concept is 4.87m long, 1.61m high and 2.04m wide.
The most striking feature is the counter-opening doors giving access ti the four-seater. The design of the front is punctuated with the cat-eye-like headlamps along with LED daytime running lights and 22-inch wheels add further design accents. LED technology also accentuate the boomerang-shaped tail lights.
The concept is equiped with Peugeot’s HYbrid4 system, powered by a 218-horsepower 1.6-liter turbodiesel, the four driving the front wheels to a 95hp electric motor at the back for through-the-road all-wheel-drive and a combined output of 313hp. A production version of the SxC is unlikely to reach European shores, but the French manufacturer also plans to launch at least one new model per year in China for the the large crossover market.
